Endorsed, Now What? From Visa Approval to Landing and Settling in the UK.

Most Global Talent Visa guidance stops at "endorsed." That is the moment people celebrate, and rightly. It is also the moment a whole second journey begins, and it catches plenty of newly approved applicants off guard.

The immediate steps are procedural but time-bound. Endorsement is not the visa. You still have to submit the visa application itself, and you have three months from your endorsement letter to do it, so the celebration has a deadline attached. Once the visa is granted, the practical questions arrive fast. When do you move? Where do you land? How do you set up a life from scratch in a new country?

This is where the route's freedom becomes real and a little daunting. You can work, freelance, or build your own thing within your field, with no employer managing the logistics for you. That independence is the whole appeal, and it also means the relocation is yours to organise. Housing, a bank account, a SIM, insurance, and building a credit history from zero in a system that has never heard of you. None of it is hard in isolation. All of it at once, in a new country, is a lot.

Then there is the longer game: settlement. Depending on your route, indefinite leave to remain can come after three or five years, and there are conditions to meet along the way, including earnings in your field and, for applications from 26 March 2027, a higher level of English. Knowing the finish line from the start makes the years in between far less stressful.
